A simple practice of awareness can be done daily with great results. Either sit or lie down in a comfortable position. Take a deep breath in and exhale it out. Turn your attention to where you touch the floor and where you don’t. Your masses and spaces. Notice what happens as you inhale, what changes. Is there more pressure, less balance? What happens when your exhale? Maybe you lengthen inhalation and exhalation. What happens then? This is the simplest yet most profound exercise in awareness you can do. Practice everyday and develop a language with your body, a deeper understanding of your presence in space.
